Campaign Kick Out 2011 — Citizens in Opposition to Denver 's Breed Ban
The City of Denver, Colorado has enacted a law, Denver Municipal Code (DMC) 8-55, which has targeted pit bull type dogs for
extermination without any regard for the individual animal's history or behavior. This was accomplished without a popular vote or
endorsement from the voting public. As a result, since 2005, over 1900 innocent dogs have been destroyed. The pleas of
outraged citizens to repeal this bad law have been virtually ignored by Denver 's city leaders.
Campaign Kick Out BSL 2011---Citizens in Opposition to Denver's Breed Ban, demands that the Denver City Council immediately
cease and desist enforcement of DMC 8-55, Pit Bulls Prohibited. Denver residents, by signing the Citizens in Opposition to
Denver's Breed Ban Petition, pledge to actively support all candidates and incumbents running in the 2011 municipal elections
who favor the rescission of DMC 8-55.
